Judy loved seeing the picture from your Book Signing. The only time I was to a book signing was in NYC when I met Charles Karault – he had just finished a book on travel and bought it as a gift – he was very gracious and interested in meeting all his fans. Books are not private to me – they are to be shared by all! Can’t wait to read Sweet Olive! Finishing up a book now that is over 500 pages — phew – it’s long! Have a great day!

Congratulations on your newest book! I loved your happy and heart-felt post! I agree that books are both private and public. That’s part of what makes them so beautiful. Just last month I attended the BookMarks Book Festival in Winston-Salem, NC. I heard a number of authors and participated in a little workshop. The highlight was meeting up with 2 friends I knew from my days in Haiti. I hadn’t seen them in 20+ years and, in the interim, each of them had written a book or two or three. Books. Authors. Readers. They’re all awesome!

I got to me Lisa Scottoline & David Balducci at our local library – awesome getting to hear them speak!! I can’t wait to read the new series – Sweet Olive.

  5. I’ve only been to one book signing of a friend when her first book came out. I wish I weren’t in Monroe the day you had a signing in Shreveport, or I would have been there. I’m about half way through reading Sweet Olive, and I love it as much as I do the Green series.

I have been to about five book signings. The majority being Judy Christie. Loved every one. Enjoyed most the ones of my special friend and wonderful author, Judy.
I am so sorry I missed the Sweet Olive one. I haven’t bought my copy yet so winning one would be sooo great. Books are meant to be shared both in conversation and loaning. Keep a list when you loan.
I am waiting impatiently for you E-mail that I won.
So proud of you and glad to call you friend,Judy.

I’ve never been to a book signing. Books are very private to me, as I immerse myself into the story completely and cannot wait to see what’s on the next page until the end, when I’m usually left wishing there was more to the story. I think that’s why I love books in a series. Would love to win your new book!

My husband and I enjoy books public and private. In fact, if our kids or grandson is reading a book, we will read it as well so that we can have discussions with them.

I have met Clive Cussler. My daughter and I went to hear him speak and get his new book signed for my husband. It was a surprise birthday present for my husband. It was very interesting to listen to him talk about how he went about coming up with the theme for his books, and his viewpoint of his Sahara book being made into a movie.

    • I love the idea of reading what the children are reading to open up discussions. And what a wonderful birthday present! I give lots of signed books from other authors as gifts. Thanks, Judy, for commenting!

Perfect time of the year for releasing a book of that title. The essence of Sweet Olive in the air has been intoxicating

  15. I have been to three book signing, two for Lilly Gayle and one for Mary Kay Andrews, two authors that I like to read. If an author Ilike comes close to home, I will try to go! Your book sounds like a great read!
